Feet First Families
This is an exciting new initiative from Sustrans aimed at inspiring school communities to transform their travel habits on the school run. On Friday 9th March 2018, schools all across the country will be getting together to make their school a ‘car-free zone’, and encouraging families to use their feet first to walk, scoot or cycle to school.
Active Travel has many benefits for both individuals and wider school communities. It is better for health, kind on the environment, promotes independence, and reduces traffic congestion around our schools, making it safer and more pleasant for everyone.

School Photographs
If you are interested in ordering your child’s photo, please send the order form to the teacher by Friday 9th March. This should give Tempest Photography enough time to fulfil your order before Easter.

£10 notes
The Bank of England and the 3 Scottish banks have issued new polymer £10 notes. The old paper notes will no longer be legal tender from this Thursday 1st March and school will not be accepting them as payment. Please note that this only affects the Bank of England, Royal Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale Bank and Bank of Scotland notes.

Integration Month
March is Integration Month – we take the opportunity to celebrate our integrated status and explore and learn more about each other.
The theme this year is Everyone Outstanding and throughout the month we will be running special events, teaching lessons around our theme and having our celebration Breakfast and Assembly.
Please note the following dates for your diary:
16th March – Integrated Breakfast
22nd March – European Food Tasting afternoon

Staff Training
School will close at 2:00pm for everyone on Monday 19th March to allow staff training.

After School Clubs
All after school clubs will end on Wednesday 21st March. Details of activities for the third term will be sent home shortly.

The school uses Facebook to communicate with parents. We would ask that parents do not send ‘private messages’ but phone the school to contact teachers. The account is not constantly monitored and a message may be missed.
